Welcome, Lancers!
The Fall 2026 athletic season is quickly approaching. Please review and share the information below with any student-athlete planning to participate in a fall sport.
General Information
- Student-athletes should arrive 15 minutes before scheduled practice times.
- Bring:
- Appropriate athletic footwear
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Water and snacks
- Coaches will provide additional scheduling and calendar information during the summer and the first days of practice.
- VPA regulations require 10 practices before playing in an interscholastic contest.
Mandatory Fall Athletics Meeting
Date: Monday, August 10, 2026
Time: 6:00–7:00 PM
Location: Lamoille Union Theater
All student-athletes participating in a fall sport must attend with a parent or guardian.
Please enter through the exterior theater doors.

Monday, August 10
4:30–7:30 PM
Practices will generally run:
- Monday–Friday: 4:30–7:30 PM
- Saturdays may be used as makeup or rain days.

Football players and their parents/caregivers do not need to attend LU Orientation.

Summer Soccer Opportunities
All LUHS soccer players are encouraged to join summer training opportunities starting July 7 and continuing through July.
Pick-Up Soccer
- Tuesdays & Thursdays
- 6:00–7:30 PM
- Railroad Street Park, Johnson
Fitness Series
- Wednesdays
- 6:00–7:00 PM
These sessions are designed to:
- Build fitness
- Sharpen skills
- Stay active
- Connect with teammates before the season.

Summer Golf Opportunities
Coach Sibenaller will host two informal practices at Ryder Brook during July:

Participation is optional but strongly encouraged. These sessions help players:
- Prepare for the season.
- Assess readiness for Team A or Team B.
- Learn more about the program.
We encourage new golfers to attend.

Bass Fishing
Grades: 9–12 (Boys & Girls)
Because of the unique nature of this VPA sport, Athletic Director Tim Messier will hold an informational Bass Fishing meeting immediately following the Fall Sports Meeting on August 10.
Topics will include:
- Participation requirements
- Sport guidelines
- Competition schedule
- Equipment and logistics
Interested student-athletes and parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.
